How to get ahead in Fortnite: Chapter 4

With the release of Chapter 4, there has been an insane amount of hype. The recent “Fractured” live event has brought us a whole new map, weapons, mechanics, and items to find around the map. If you need any currency or more items for the start of the season, you can buy some on Chicks Gold.

With these new features, there are many things to navigate and get to know so that you can get ahead of the competition as fast as possible. So if you want to consistently get high-kill games and remain the last one standing this season – read on.

The Loot Pool

We are already familiar with the loot pool; however, some changes have been made this season that we should be aware of. Firstly, there are a few great weapons that have been added. These include:

  • Red Eye AR
  • The classic scar (in all rarities!)
  • The Maven Auto Shotgun (has faster shooting)
  • Thunder Shotgun (very similar to the OG Pump Shotgun)

These are just a few new weapons that have been added, but you get the point. The loot pool has essentially gone full overhaul this season, and anyone familiar with the new guns will have a huge advantage. The strategy for this is the same as it has always been; hop into a match or creative, grinding out all the new items to become familiar with them.

You will soon find which weapons you like the most and which fit your play style the best. In addition, you never know which items or weapons will get vaulted in upcoming seasons, so getting to know them as soon as possible is highly beneficial.

Reality Augments

Additionally, it is also helpful to play around with the reality augments. These are perks that you get while inside the game. A bunch of new and creative ones have been added this season. And just like the weapons, it’s best to use all of them and find which fits your play style the best. Some of these can be game-changers in a pinch and make your game more fun overall.

The Map

We finally got an entirely new map this season! Because it is so unique and we are so early in the season, most people need to learn the map’s layout. That is why it’s so essential for you to do so you can get ahead of the competition as quickly as possible. The strategy for this would

be similar to the loot pool – you should land on as many places as possible to get familiar with every landing spot on the map before you choose your favorites. You might miss out on some good landing spots if you consistently land at the same place. Also, if the circle closes on some obscure area, you will have an advantage over your opponents if you have more knowledge of the layout.

As for now, there are only 9 POIs on the whole map; this might stay for the whole season, so it is important to get familiar with the outskirts of the map as well, mainly because they will be trendy if the low POIs stay. An excellent tool to use when learning the map is the website Fortnite.gg. Here, you can see all the chest spawns and other spawnable items. Giving you an in-depth look at the map, which most players will not have.

Watch Gameplay

Another good way to become familiar with the meta is to watch pro players stream or play on Youtube. Most of the time, when we watch pros play, we watch and don’t think, which is fine if you are just doing it for fun. But if you want to improve, pay attention to the details of their gameplay and the things they do to be better than everyone else. Then, make sure to try the things you see in your gameplay to see if you succeed.

Thank You!

Thank you for reading some of the things we thought were essential for this season’s gameplay. Many new features have been added, and this has the potential to be one of Fortnite’s best seasons yet. Whether you are playing build or no build, all these tips apply, and we hope that they will be helpful to you. Enjoy the season!
